Dogs available for adoption

Though this section is updated regularly, this is not an exhaustive or complete list. If you are interested in meeting an animal listed below, please call the shelter at (506) 446-4107 to:

A) Make sure the animal is still available (and)

B) Make an appointment to meet them.

You can visit the “Animals Available for Adoption” Album on the Oromocto and Area Facebook page.

A valuable tool to use is the “I am Looking to Adopt a Dog” questionnaire. Completion of this questionnaire (and submitting it to the shelter) is mandatory for all dog adoptions. Thank you for taking this important first step.

Animals Available for adoption

Boomer

Boomer is a 5 year old black lab mix. He was brought to us when his owner could no longer give him the time and attention this sweet boy needs. He was quite stressed when he first arrived to the shelter but has settled in and is ready to find his new home. Boomer is looking for an active family with older, respectful children and a home with no cats. He would likely do well with slow introductions to a new canine friend. If you would like to meet this friendly, chatty guy, please call the shelter at (506) 446-4107 to make an appointment.

Oakley

Meet Oakley! He's an approximately 6 year old neutered male American Bulldog. He came to us from the NBSPCA Animal Protection Officer with bad skin, very thin, and anemic. He has since recuperated and is ready to find his new family. Oakley has lived with another dog in his previous home and he enjoys playing with the other dogs at the shelter. He sometimes doesn't like to share his ball though! He will NOT do well in a home with cats. We have information that Oakley did live with children in his previous home.
If you'd like to meet this handsome guy, please call the shelter at 446-4107 to make an appointment.
