You can visit the “Animals Available for Adoption” Album on the Oromocto and Area Facebook page.
A valuable tool to use is the “I am Looking to Adopt a Dog” questionnaire. Completion of this questionnaire (and submitting it to the shelter) is mandatory for all dog adoptions. Thank you for taking this important first step.
Boomer
Boomer is a 5 year old black lab mix. He was brought to us when his owner could no longer give him the time and attention this sweet boy needs. He was quite stressed when he first arrived to the shelter but has settled in and is ready to find his new home. Boomer is looking for an active family with older, respectful children and a home with no cats. He would likely do well with slow introductions to a new canine friend. If you would like to meet this friendly, chatty guy, please call the shelter at (506) 446-4107 to make an appointment.
Melati
Melati is an approximately 2 year old spayed female shepherd mix that was brought to us by the New Brunswick SPCA Animal Protection Officers when she was found running stray with her brother. She is a very sweet, high energy girl that is looking for an active family that will work her mind and body. Her previous owner let her run loose and she did have incidents with neighbors flocks. For this reason, we would not place her in a home with small animals. She has also been selective with dogs at the shelter and would require introductions to potential new canine friends. If you are looking for a hiking companion, Melati is your girl! Please call the shelter at (506) 446-4107 to make an appointment.

Wall-E
Wall-E is an approximately 3 year old mixed breed that likely has shepherd and hound in him. He is a large, friendly guy that was brought to us as a stray when he was found curled up on someone’s doorstep. He has spent time playing with female and male dogs at the shelter and done well. He would not do well in a home with cats. Due to his size and rambunctious personality, he would need to go to a home with older children. Wall-E is looking for an active family that will be committed to working his mind and body. If you would like to meet this sweet boy, please call the shelter at (506) 446-4107 to make an appointment
