You can visit the “Animals Available for Adoption” Album on the Oromocto and Area Facebook page.
A valuable tool to use is the “I am Looking to Adopt a Dog” questionnaire. Completion of this questionnaire (and submitting it to the shelter) is mandatory for all dog adoptions. Thank you for taking this important first step.
Cash
Cash is a 2 year old male neutered Shepherd/Rottweiler mix that was brought to us by the NBSPCA Animal Protection Officers when he was seized from a home with several other dogs where they weren’t being cared for properly. He came to us with a large wound on his neck that has since healed. Cash is understandably apprehensive of new people and will require multiple visits. Once he trusts you, he does the best happy wiggles! He is an intelligent, playful boy that is very food motivated. While he has lived with other dogs, he would likely do best being the only dog in his new home. We would not place him in a home with cats. Due to his nervousness with new situations and handling, he needs a home without kids. Cash is looking for a patient, experienced dog owner that will support him while he adapts to his new home. If you are interested in meeting this handsome boy, please call the shelter at (506) 446-4107 to make an appointment.
Bella
Beautiful little Bella is an approximately 8 year old spayed female pitbull mix who was brought to us by the NBSPCA Animal Protection Officer. She is what we like to call an "itty bitty pittie". She is under knee high, weighing only about 30-40lbs.
Bella came to us with an ear infection and some missing fur. We immediately put her on a no chicken/no beef diet and had her ear infection treated and she's feeling much better.
It was also noted that Bella has some weakness in her back legs and after xrays on her hips and knees, we are no further along in figuring out why. Because we have no good history on her life before coming to us and whether or not she had physical trauma, we are uncertain of the cause.
This does not affect Bella's sweetness and happiness. She still enjoys walks and interaction with her humans.
Because of Bella's leg weaknesses, she is looking for a home with no young children.
She does not like cats!
She is willing to meet respectful, smaller dogs who can't hurt her by playing too rough.
Ultimately, Bella is looking for a family who will care for her properly, mentally and physically.
This sweet little house hippo is waiting for you.
If you'd like to meet her, please call the shelter at 446-4107 to make an appointment.

Thelma
Thelma is an approximately 4 year old spayed female large mixed breed dog that was brought to us by the NBSPCA Animal Protection Officers when she was seized along with another dog. She had been battling a urinary tract infection for several months. Since coming to the shelter, she has almost completed her course of antibiotics and is feeling much better! She is a very outgoing girl with a big personality that is highly food motivated. She has lived with another dog in her previous home but does not like cats. We don’t know if she has lived with children. If you are interested in meeting this big goofy girl, please call the shelter at (506) 446-4107 to make an appointment.
Louise
Louise is a 4 year old spayed female large mixed breed. She was brought to us by the NBSPCA Animal Protection Officers after being seized with another dog. Louise is a very affectionate girl who loves attention and treats. She has lived with another dog in her previous home but does not like cats. We are unsure how she is with children. If you would like to meet Louise please call the shelter at (506)446-4107 to make an appointment.
