Our Mission Statement

The objectives of this Society are to prevent cruelty to, and to encourage consideration for, all animals, to encourage and assist in the enforcement of all laws which are now or any hereafter enacted for the protection of all animals, to assist the New Brunswick Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in procuring further legislation for the protection of all animals, and by means of literature, addresses and other forms of publicity, to create and sustain a general interest in animal welfare.

The objectives of the Oromocto and Area S.P.C.A. are:

  • To look after the physical and psychological welfare of abandoned, abused and unwanted animals.

  • To adopt each animal into a suitable and caring home.

  • To promote humane attitudes and responsible pet ownership through public education.

  • To eliminate euthanasia as a means of controlling the pet over-population.

  • To protect and maintain the rights and dignity of all living things.

Tracy Marcotullio, Charlotte McInnis, Beth Anne White and Lisa LeBlanc have all received their CPACP (Certified Professional Animal Care Provider) certification, being the first Professional Animal Care Certification Council certified professionals working in an Animal Shelter.
