Stephanie Shipley from Paw and Order will be on hand to talk about safe and humane collars and leashes.
-MART will be there to talk about the amazing work they are doing to reunite lost dogs and cats with their grateful families.
-BBQ hosted by Lily's Place Sanctuary
-Laser printed custom dog/cat tags on site
-Woof It Up trainer Lisa Harris will be on site to chat about all things dog.
-Berry Patch Pet Products will be there with a supply of their beautifully made collars and leashes
-Games and Prizes for the kids
-Dog Walk is by donation with all proceeds going to MART and the Oromocto SPCA.

In this one‑hour class, you’ll learn fun exercises to help with better walks, door‑dashing, over‑excited greetings, and other everyday challenges!
Help your dog feel more confident and relaxed with three simple pattern games you can play anywhere — and help support a great cause!
100% of your $50 class fee goes directly to the Oromocto SPCA. It’s a win‑win‑win for you, your dog, and the SPCA!
After the class, you’ll receive “how‑to” guides so you can continue practicing and building your dog’s confidence at home.
Dates: Choose one date — July 13th or August 17th, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Each date offers the same one-hour class. Cost: $50 per class.

Who is this class for?
Dogs who are comfortable around people and other dogs.
Dogs who can focus in mildly distracting environments and eat in the presence of other dogs and people.
The Oromocto and Area SPCA Board of Directors has a volunteer position available on the Finance Committee. Help us support an amazing shelter that takes in 1200 animals per year and has the biggest heart around! We have a positive and supportive team environment and are in the midst of doing big things!
You will be assisting the Treasurer with five flexible hours per month of your time and one board meeting per month- 10 months per year, in person or virtual attendance on a Tuesday evening. You will also assist in providing financial reports to the board meetings to help us make informed decisions.
Here are some of the areas the five hours per month will assist with, you do not need to help with all but tell us what you are good at! The majority will be data entry into the system and help with providing tax receipts. You do not need to be a CPA as our Treasurer already is, just experience with some of these programs and willingness to learn new ones.
1. Code and categorize transactions & complete bank reconciliations
2. Sales entries
3. Budgeting and forecasting
4. Verify and produce donation receipts Apx. 600 per year
5. Monthly/annual financial reports
6. Advisory
7. Proficiency in QuickBooks online, Wagepoint, Donor receipts, Excel, Square reporting, and Dext.
8. Board members also assist with fundraising/ special events when possible and always supporting the shelter and staff in any way possible.
You will be asked to do a Criminal Record Check at the RCMP station and provide references before accepting a position on the Board.

1. All drawings must be done on white paper with a black marker. No colored markers allowed.
2. You can enter one drawing of a cat and one drawing of a dog.
3. All entries must be physically brought into the shelter by 5pm on August 1st, 2023.
4. All drawings become the property of the Oromocto and Area SPCA.
5. To enter, you must be 18 years old or under.
