It’s spring! And that means “Kitten Season” is once again upon us. JUNE is national “Adopt a Shelter Cat Month” and in shelters all across North America, cats and kittens are available for adoption . What’s so special about “Adopt a Shelter Cat Month”? Well, it’s a purrfect time to celebrate all things ‘cat’ and what’s not to love about that?
Stay tuned to our website and our Facebook page to see how the OSPCA will celebrate this Paws-atively cat-tacular event.
Due to popular demand, the OSPCA will be hosting a Microchip Clinic on Saturday, June 6th at the Oromocto Pet Valu store. The clinic will be run from 1pm – 3 pm. There will be a vet onsite to insert the microchips and the cost per microchip is $35.00.
Why Microchip your cat/dog? The main reason is so that should your beloved family member become lost, a microchip helps get them back home again. Moving? Keep your address information up to date with a quick phone call. We’ll give you copies of the Microchip number and the contact information for the microchip company for your records. Keeping this information with your pet’s health record is a good way to keep this info at your fingertips.
